Secondary Research

I was looking at a few music videos earlier and found this glitch transition that can be done with the use of key framing rgb colours and the position of text and options etc soo I wanted to see if there was any plugins online or things I could use to skip that step and simply to drag and drop it onto what I’m working on to make my life a lot easier and I have found something to now do that soo hopefully I will put it to use on my video
My Inspirations

This is the reference of where i got the idea to use a grill for my video shoot as well as some form of liquid (in the end choosing blood due to theme of the video) and im very happy with what i came up with in the end that stemmed from this small gif from asap mobs Yamborghini high music video.

SLOWTHAI
As slowthai’s new album dropped Friday I’ve gotten a lot more motivation for the creating my track and aswell as this it’s pushed a lot of different things for me when it comes to my creative process and what I’m going to want to have on my video and the imagery used aswell as the style of track I wanted and it’s also inspired a few things for my video
For some of my shots I’m hoping to cut in between what’s originally projected onto the wall and shots that I have in mind and trying to make sure that it looks as similar as possible so it blends in nicely

Projector Simulation effect in post

This music video has given me some ideas on what i want my shots to look like and also contain but mainly its the white background is what i want to include for my music video and i am going to have to do this with the use of the green screen and then keying all of the green out for my shots and then applying a shadow plugin that on after effects in order to get the footage looking more realistic on the white background and hopefully this will work well in a well lit studio and with all the right camera angles.
This GIF is from a music video called Denzel Curry - VENGEANCE | VENGEANCE ft. Jpegmafia, ZillaKami and I want to look into the use of these reds and blues etc for my footage as I know most of it is done on set with the use of lights and putting coloured film in front of LED's but I hope I can for some clips get this effect on me when using the green screen or for using shots elsewhere.

How I EDITED Red Alert MUSIC VIDEO - KSI & Randolph
When on youtube the other-day i came across a video from someone im subscribed to on there that works closely with big youtubers helping them shoot there videos and record podcasts etc and the video was a tutorial on how this youtuber had edited a music video for KSI and Randolph which is called red alert .
The music video itself i wasn’t really that interest in but after watching this video it gave me some inspiration for my own video and also allowed me to see a lot more into how these videos are shot and edited what a large budget is able to do for a video and also how the use of big large cinema cameras can help with big budget videos. the main thing i took away from this video was a technique that allows you to use different track speeds and frame rates to give a slow motion effect.
This is mentioned in this video at around 7minutes in.
Some of the clips shot at higher frame rates with the track sped up camera with ability to use custom frame rates is needed though and if your not able to use this you can use shooting at 50/60 frames. the look that this gives the track is allows the use of slow motion but so that it works well with the track and so that the video is fully in sync with the song. this has also been used in videos such as Coldplay - Yellow
In this video the effect works really well and allows the video to play out in slow motion whilst fully be synced up to the track . even if i dont end up using this feature on my own tracks it was incredibly interesting to see and it made me realise that i have seen it in multiple videos before without realising and now i know how to do it myself even if the cameras that i am going to be using to film are going to limit my ability to do so.

Lil skies - stop the madness [music video]
Getting inspiration from music videos that are currently out
This is a track by lil skies and the whole white room and being locked in a stray jacket aspect and trapped in your own head has given me a few ideas of what props I might need to have and also as well as that a few editing techniques I can use when it comes to transitions etc.

Cole Bennett the main practitioner that inspires me to do the work that I do with music and stuff has announced a ted talk so hopefully if this is available to view before the end of my project I will be able to use it for useful information as well as the info that I will try to get when I try contact him later this week.

Watching a few videos online and got a bit of inspiration for different overlays effects that I can use for my music video to have onto different sections of the video and then once colour corrected had it so that the blues purples and reds pop a lot more to give it a kind of psychedelic effect
