The reason i want to make this video?
For my FMP of year 2 i want to make a music video that is going to be a big improvement on the one that i made last year in every aspect possible this is mainly due to the fact that i was not 100% happy with how that project turned out as there as a lot of factors involved that made things go wrong meaning i was not able to do what was originally planned or things where delayed meaning that i had to rush parts of the video or song and it didn’t sound as good as i wanted it too meaning that i wouldn’t be happy with showing to other people and using it as something that i was happy with the content of the music video as well as the editing and filming that was all done by me. so im hoping to make a large improvement this year and create something that i have no problem sharing with people as it showcases multiple different things that i am capable off and that they are to best of my ability. also the other reason i want to do this is to showcase talents that i think that i have and that not a lot of people know about when it comes to my voice as well as talking about problems which i have and voicing them on the track in order to get them off my chest and allow others to not feel like there alone in certain aspects of life to do with things mentally and psychically. so hopefully the video turns out how i want it too as its going to be very important to me to be able to show this to people and be proud of my work across the board on all aspects of the video as combining everything from the beat to the lyrics and then getting the right visuals and editing in my own vision is going to prove to be quite hard but i have multiple ideas that i am able to go though and im hoping that they pay off so that i am able to get this distinction.
as well as this for me theres a theme behind the title of the track which is called NO FACE NO FEELINGS this personal for me is about feelings that i have and that i go through and all of the things that i do in order to stray away from them and not face them face first as i constantly try to run away from them and having multiple different coping mechanisms. as the song explains due to how long this has all been going on im fed up of it all and how its effecting me and what im doing in order to cope. and the reason of this track is to share all of this whilst at the same time showcasing visually a film that doesn’t show my face for how it is naturally as theres shots with me with demonic eyes or there layered behind the tv for the video or its just simply my shadow casted over some footage. so theres a theme and meaning to this whole song and in a way its allowed me to get a-lot of my chest and turn something thats a burden to me in my day to day life a bit more bare able and allows me to get better and hopefully for others that actually listen to the lyrics allows them to be able to feel comfortable with how they are feeling especially when it comes to males.
i feel like mental health is a very big problem for my target audience and which is my generation as a whole. as a male i feel like its something that isnt talked about enough due to the fact that society has a stigma surrounding it thats mainly being enforced by the older generations. a majority of the older generation dont fully understand what we are expressing and that things that younger males go through and even tho some dont understand which is always the case with somethings in life its the fact that they are ignorant with the approach towards male mental health issues and will state things such as “manning up” or just to “smile” or they will simply just choose not to believe the feelings you are expressing as to them in society men are not meant to have all of these feelings etc and are meant to be the “bread winners” and the man of the family https://www.theguardian.com/money/2016/aug/19/men-breadwinners-health-effects-wellbeing
as this article shows most men who act as this type of male in reality are incredibly likely to face these mental health effects and because of all these traditional gender roles and there peers surrounding them they are not able to say anything about it without seeming week and not a “real man”.
for me i just wanted to get stuff off my own chest that im hoping will help others male and female so i hope for my project that i am able to do this for people that listen to the lyrics properly as for my generation and target audience of my project this is forever becoming a growing problem and its only going to get worse.

My Inspirations and individuality
When it comes to all of my inspirations i would say that they have one thing in common which would be individuality. They all feature something that draws them apart from others whether its slowthai with his speech impediment or g-eazy with his slicked back 1960s greaser biker gang they all have something that would make them the black sheep in most environments that life puts them into and i would say for myself personally when it comes to who am i in my family and how i have turned out (even though i’m still finding myself) and what my parents think i would turn out like. I would have to say in my family i’m a black sheep and am nothing like anyone was going to expect me to be like with the interests that i have the things i wear and the problems that i have. it has to be said that i think that’s something that when it comes to being your own person everyone single person who is on this earth is different to one another in in a way individuality for some people is a lot more important than others and some couldn’t care less about it. But i think that it’s definitely one of the nicest things to be able to have and told when it comes to the fact that most people in today’s society are sheep and tend to follow or imitate the people they see on social media and on tv etc and it’s sad to see because it’s fair enough following a few things and being inspired and then taking what inspires you and then putting your own twist on this which is what i do with a lot of things, but being a exact carbon copy of someone else or trying to be is really sad to see especially when being your own person is something no one else can do or take away from you.
